Appeal 2009
Dear Friend of the
BOTTLE WORKS,
At the BOTTLE
WORKS, we are always learning. We are trying to connect with our
audiences to find out what you want from the Center, what it is that
imparts joy and confidence and the desire to participate.
Let’s listen to the
classic words of William Shakespeare, when Juliet said to Romeo in
Act II.2: “The more I give to thee, the more I have.” Yes,
it is a contradiction in terms, but we seriously want you to be our
Juliet so that you can experience a sense of satisfaction or wealth
when you support the BOTTLE WORKS. Our currency is in hope, talent,
people and possibility. We want to be vital to the community
because our programs reflect the community through celebrations of
ethnicity and tradition.
The performances of
the ethnic choirs and performers in December turned out to be a
revelation. People just wanted to kick back, forget about the
challenges, connect with friends and neighbors and share in creative
experiences. It is interesting, but true, that people are now
attending more arts programs and performances, not less.
There are lots more
opportunities for you during 2009. Indulge yourselves. You need the
joy and the sense of inner wealth. You can check us out in the
newsletter, the media, though our egrams, and here at
www.bottleworks.org
Our challenge is to
be bold by asking you for the gift that keeps giving. Help us to
sustain the Center, support our artists and continue free and
affordable programming to all.
Thank you for your
interest and potential investment in the BOTTLE WORKS Ethnic Arts
Center.
Sincerely,
Richard M. Uzelac
President
